SJ Public Relations supported The Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Network by raising awareness of the need for organ donations among all audiences through social media
OPPORTUNITY
Gift of Hope’s mission is to save and enhance the lives of as many people as possible through organ and tissue donation. Since 2009, SJ Public Relations has developed numerous public relations programs across diverse target audiences ranging from general market to multi-cultural.
The organization also tasked SJPR to help them build a social media platform and promote digital presence to further drive awareness and encourage organ donations.
STRATEGY
SJ Public Relations leveraged its social media usage insights and established Gift of Hope’s 1st Facebook fan page.
We engaged followers with insightful information about organ donation and general health and wellness topics and began to publicize Gift of Hope’s events including the Rose Parade, National Donor Sabbath and National Donate Life Month with great results.
We then selected Quad Day an event in which they had participated in previous years and unleashed the full power of the Social Media platform we had developed for them.
RESULTS
As one example, Gift of Hope’s Quad Day event set a world record for registering the most donors in an eight hour period, generated 77 million media impressions and earned over $227 thousand in media value.
To date, SJPR has garnered more than 175 million media impressions for Gift of Hope while helping change communities feelings and converting them into action.
